#LifeGoals week three message from Pastor Luke Aadalen on January 14, 2018 at Community Church of Waterford, Goshen, Indiana.
Here are three attitude adjustments we can use when we get caught needing the second chance because our follow through fell short.
Failure is NOT Final
1 John 1:9
Bad Decisions Can Be Redeemed
Next Time is Still Possible
Our decisions also affect our attitude toward situations and goals
C.A.R. Decision Making
The best part about all of this process – the adjustments we make and the decisions that affect them – no matter what – a second chance is ALWAYS possible. Our God is with us no matter what – no matter the decision made – no matter how many times we need to try again. Through EVERYTHING he is faithful.

#LifeGoals week two message from Pastor Luke Aadalen on January 7, 2018 at Community Church of Waterford, Goshen, Indiana.
“Free Throws: Form, Function, Follow Through”
FORM: LIVE FREE AND DIE HARD
Definition of Live Free: Living a life worthy of the gospel of Christ.
Definition of Die Hard: Putting off selfish desires – Setting God and Others before yourself.
FUNCTION: DEAD POET’S SOCIETY: O CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN
FOLLOW THROUGH: HARRY POTTER: THE ROOM OF REQUIREMENT
Chris Tomlin – “The Way I Was Made” pg. 35
“I didn’t ask God to make me happy or good or famous. I didn’t ask Him to make me a musician or to put me on stage. And I’m so glad now that I didn’t. I just handed over my life. I wanted to be His man.”
• What does my form look like? Is my technique working?
• What does my function look like? Am I standing on truth?
• How is my follow through? Am I walking how I am talking?
• Here is the true test for this year and the challenge:

I saw an article that listed the top 5 most popular resolutions that are made year after year.
#5 Take up a new hobby
#4 Make more money
#3 Improve relationships
#2 Stop smoking
#1 Lose weight
My guess is that there isn’t much follow through when it comes to new year’s resolutions and that’s why they remain the same top 5 resolutions year after year.
Maybe resolutions work for you but most tend to be self-focused. Maybe a special word will work for you. Or maybe you do better with goals.
So, let’s replace those 5 common resolutions that I listed earlier with 5 worthwhile goals that we might consider for 2018.
#5 Forget your failures
#4 Give up grudges
#3 Restore Relationships
#2 Improve your worship
#1 Grow your ministry
1 Corinthians 10:31
Keep asking God these questions…
What is my calling?
What are my gifts?
What is my purpose?
Where do you want me, God?
How may I best serve you?
What breaks your heart? Chances are that same thing breaks God’s heart, too and He is hoping that you will make a difference.
1. Forget your failures
2. drop your grudges
3. restore relationships if it is within your power to do so
4. live your everyday life as worship
5. and pay attention to what your ministry is or could be.
He wants us to live a life where we know with certainty how much he loves us, forgives us, helps us and wants to use us to further His kingdom.
Start right now.
